Christie shared her strategy for how you should wash your hair and skin when you take a shower to avoid any sort of acne on either your face or body.
'Washing and conditioning your hair can cause "backne". First things first, when you wash your hair, be sure to completely rinse out all the shampoo,' Christie shared.
'Then, after you apply conditioner, make sure it gets thoroughly rinsed out too. Once you're done with that, you should clip up your hair to get it off your back before using body wash.
'Lather up your cleanser all over your back with your hands and let it sit there for a moment or two so it can absorb into the skin, then rinse thoroughly,' she concluded.
Kourtney explained that aside from dodging breakouts with this routine she also has a separate regimen for keeping her hair looking healthy.
'First off, because I work out almost every day, I usually wash my hair daily too,' she explained.
'If I skip my morning exercise, then I try to avoid washing my hair, so it doesn't dry out.

'I always use the same shampoo and conditioner from Rahua and every now and then I'll rinse my hair with apple cider vinegar, as it's known for holding in moisture without striping your hair of its natural oils,' Kourtney admits.
'When I'm filming, I use blow-dryers and hot tools like wands and curling irons - but whenever possible, I try to avoid adding heat to my hair, since that can cause split ends and dryness.
'My hair is naturally really straight, so it's pretty low maintenance when I air dry it which is what I usually do when I'm on vacation.
'The only other secret I have for healthy hair is I always sleep on a pillowcase made of 100 per cent silk. The natural amino acids in the silk are really good for both your skin and hair.
'I've been doing this for years and it's one of my best beauty secrets!,' Kourtney confessed.

This isn't the first time Kourtney has spoken up about her acne before and she's even admitted to having sensitive, acne-prone skin which she deals with by avoiding tinted sunscreen and tinted moisturizers or primers because these products can cause breakouts.
'There are certain skincare products that cause terrible acne, but none of us realize it. Tinted moisturizers, tinted sunblocks and primers are three items you should avoid completely,' Christie shared on Kourtney's app.
'While they seem amazing - so simple, a one hit wonder - these products unfortunately cause a lot of breakouts. If you think about it, a moisturizer is designed to absorb deep into the layers of your skin to moisturize.
'However, it brings pigment with it and therefore clogs your pores. When you go to wash your face in the evening, that pigment doesn't just come out – it's stuck deep in your pores.'
